Student Paper Competitions

Each year since 1997, the Vancouver Island Chapter of the AWMA has held a student paper competition. Competitors come from Royal Roads University, Camosun College or the University of Victoria.  Prizes support students in their educational persuits.

A&WMA’s 2010 High School Essay Contest

“Energy & the Environment:
Changing our Communities, our Schools and our World”.

Here's your chance to enter an international contest on one of three topics: 

(1) alternative fuels,

(2) greenhouse gas management

(3) fossil fuels

The winner of this contest will be presented with a $400 prize at the Air & Waste Management Association conference in Calgary in the summer.  Have a look at the pamphlet and the complete contest rules for more information. Deadline is Thursday, April 22, 2010!
