Student Travel Aid

PNWIS is eager to encourage students participation in PNWIS 2003!  If you can donate something to help students attend (e.g. frequent flyer miles, a companion fare, a place to stay, etc.), or if you are a student who would like to attend, please email our webmaster, JR Wilcox.  Since companion fares may be a viable option, please include which city you will be flying from, and which dates you are planning to travel.  As offers/needs are determined, they will be posted on this page so that interested parties can connect.

Help Wanted

Help Offered

The Montana Tech student chapter is looking for people who can help shuttle 15 of their members down from Anchorage on the morning of the 24th and back up on the 26th.  Contact Sean Everett at enviroclub1@hotmail.com.

Erin McKay is offering a $50 companion fare on Alaska Airlines.  If there are two people flying from the same place on the same day, it could save them a lot of money.

If this would help you attend, you can contact Erin by email at  MckayEM@Alyeska-Pipeline.com, or by phone at either 787-6481 or 351-1835, depending on the week.   Thanks, Erin!

Michelle Newman, a student presenter at the conference, is looking for assistance with airfare and/or lodging.  She will be flying out of Sea-Tac, and is flexible about dates.  You can contact her at etheria77@yahoo.com. Brian Hoefler has arranged to have a bus pick the Montana Tech students at the Long House Hotel. There is plenty of room for others if they want a ride down to Girdwood on Wednesday morning, 9/24/03. Bus will depart at 7:00 am sharp. The Long House is at 4335 Wisconsin Street in Anchorage. The bus will be there at about 6:45 for loading. Anyone interested in a free ride to Girdwood should e-mail Brian at bhoefler@hoeflernet.com to get on the list.

To arrange transportation to and from Anchorage, try posting to our new chatroom.

Tip: budget-conscious travelers can find accommodations in Girdwood for only $12.50 a night at the Alyeska Hostel!
